Girls Camp 2010

Ok so I know this is a little late in posting but I had some requests from a few of my girls to see what I had done with the few pictures that I had from Camp (I was the camp director and didnt allow my self time to take a whole lot of pictures....maybe this year I can since much to my disappointment, I am no longer the director since they sustained me as second counselor in the yw presidency). Its short and sweet!

I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU!!

I just wanted to take a few minutes to say THANK YOU to everyone who stops by We Are Daughters of a Heavenly King and takes a few moments to look at what has been posted. I really do appreciate it! I can't believe I have had this many visitors since this blogs creating almost 4 months ago. Thank you all again for your time and I hope that I have given you some ideas to help with lessons, Personal Progress, mutual activities, etc..

So this brings me to my question, I have been pondering about starting a Facebook group. This way I can share when new items or ideas are posted, handle any requests, make new friends, link up with other creative people- all in one place because I know it is sometimes hard to remember and check if anything new has been posted (which being a full time college student, there might be times when I get busy with homework and have less time to create).

Please let me know what you think, either by leaving a comment or if you prefer not to have everyone see it, you can always send me an email @
wearedaughtersofaheavenlyking@gmail.com
I am looking forward to see what YOU have to say!

My first binder cover

Alright, so I just have created my first binder cover reflecting the 2011 mutual theme for the year which is the 13th Article of Faith. It was inspired by this design and was created using the Individual Worth alpha set from Steadfast and Immovable and J. Baechtold papers from her Heart kit from mycomputerscrapbook.com.

February Personal Progress Motivator

February's motivator is up for download. Will be adding pictures once I get them put together so you have an idea of what I am trying to describe.

Here is what the saying looks like, this will be taped to one side of the conversation heart box.

For this project you will need:
box of conversation candy hearts
ribbon (I bought some red Valentine's Day ribbon from Wal-mart)
pencils (again valentine's day pencils from Wal-mart, package of 20 for $2 assorted)
copy of the saying (CLICK HERE FOR PDF -SET OF 8)
mini printable of calander month (create your own, my brother created mine using Publisher so I don't have a file to offer you for those)
double stick tape
scissors
single hole punch

Trim the calanders but leave enough space on the side or on top to punch 2 sets of holes big enough to slip a pencil through. Cut out the saying (found on link above) and tape onto one side of the conversation heart box. Tie the pencil with calander attached to the box with ribbon. Ta-da! Your done!!

Our Purpose in Life -Lesson #7
