January's Personal Progress Motivator

Here is the first of 12 Personal Progress motivators.
Keep checking back for the rest!

January 2011-Don't "FLAKE" Out!

Here is what you will need:
1. Fake snow (I used Buffalo Snow Snowflakes because of the irradescence color).
2. Ribbon (I used white)- about 10 inches in length per bag/tag
3. Those small baggies that you can find in the craft/jewelary section
4. Copy of the tag (which can be found HERE for download- PDF 8 to a page)
5. Single hole punch
6. Scissors

Stuff each bag with some of the snow flakes and seal. Line up the tag and bag and punch two holes through both items. Thread your ribbon through and tie a bow.

UPDATE!!

Just to let you know I might not be posting anything for a few days to a week. My dog has had surgery and has to be under supervision until we can get the stiches removed and I am trying to make up some reading assignements from school at the same time. Please bear with me, I will post some new printables I have been working on and ideas for mutual activities and what not as soon as I get the chance. Again, thank you for the visit and check back in a couple of days or so for new stuff!

Remember: your a daughter of our Heavenly Father who LOVES you!

Update! Personal Progress Challenge

I just had to update you on how our Personal Progress Challenge game went during mutual this past Wednesday night. The girls AND leaders had a ball with it! They were very eager to get their hands on our buzzer (which I was glad to say was just a small squaky toy in the shape of a raccoon---anything harder than that would probably have caused some pain and bruises).

We also had Personal Progress Interviews/Evaluations  to see where each of the girls were (or rather to remind them that this was a perfect time to get started on their goals again). So as second counselor, I was over the Beehives and therefore was conducting interviews with my Beehive advisor, Sarah, and we were downstairs from where the game was taking place and their was a couple of loud "noises" that came thundering through the floor/ceiling. I sorta began to think that our bishops coffee table was going to come through the floor. Your probably wondering why we were at the bishops house and being so roudy is because our building is being remodeled so while the renovating is taking place, we meet for mutual at the bishops house since the bishops wife is the YW President. Anyway, I would definately try this game out if you are looking for a change to the regular PP activities

Personal Progress Challenge

So tonight is the first mutual of the year and the Beehives are in charge of the activity (we have such a small group that we meet together each week for mutual). As a presidency we have planned our New Beginnings in February and wanted to tie in a little of Evening in Excellence in as well since we were unable to hold ours last year. So, we wanted to do a personal progress night where we as leaders could meet with the girls one on one and find out what goals they have completed and where they were and to see what we as leaders could do to help them along.

So while we pull one out one at a time, the other girls will be working on their personal progress in the form of playing a game that will help the girls become more familiar with their personal progress books, scriptures and even the Young Women's program. You can find a copy of the game and rules HERE (word document).
